 108 Die in Invicta International Airlines Vickers Vanguard 952 Flight 435 crash in Herrenmatt, Hochwald, Solothurn, Switzerland. Most of the 139 passengers on the charter flight were women-members of the Axbridge Ladies Guild on a shopping trip to Basel, Switzerland. There were 37 survivors.
