Playmate of the Year 1980 Dorothy Stratten born as Dorothy Ruth Hoogstraten is shot dead by 29-year-old Paul Snider at the age of 20 in 10881 West Clarkson Road, Los Angeles, California, United States. Stratten as well as Snider's naked bodies were found in Snider's room both facially blasted with a Mossberg 12 gauge. Police believed that Snider murdered Stratten and then abused and raped the corpse before turning the shotgun on himself.
