Jacqueline Leclercq is abducted, killed and cut to pieces by unidentified serial killer Le Dépeceur de Mons aka The Trash Bag Killer at the age of 33 in Rue Malapert, Hyon, Hainaut, Belgium.

On 22 March 1997 several parts of Leclercq's body were found in trash bags in Cuesmes.
