32-year-old serial killer groupie Veronica Compton escapes by using bolt cutters to cut through the fences of the medium-security facility in Washington Corrections Center for Women, 9601 Bujacich Rd., Gig Harbor, Washington, United States. Compton was recaptured in a suburb of Tucson, Arizona nine days later.
