The conventional explosives aboard detonated and the nuclear payload ruptured and dispersed which resulted in radioactive contamination. Six crew members ejected safely but 27-year-old co-pilot Leonard Svitenko who did not have an ejection seat was killed while trying to bail out. (21 January 1968)

Sunday 2nd of January 1955 (-) — President of Panama José Remón Cantera is fired upon at a race track by an unknown revolutionary commando with sub-machineguns. Remón died in hospital two hours later. Two other men including one of Remón's bodyguards were also killed in the attack.
