The original autopsy determined that Ferrari had died of an overdose of antidepressants and tranquilizers. A second autopsy two years later found that mechanically-induced suffocation could not be ruled out. Vigne was suspected of causing her death, was arrested and spent 13 months in prison. Sunday 21st of January 1968 (x) — A B-52G Stratofortress carrying four B28FI thermonuclear bombs crashes onto sea ice. The conventional explosives aboard detonated and the nuclear payload ruptured and dispersed which resulted in radioactive contamination. Six crew members ejected safely but 27-year-old co-pilot Leonard Svitenko who did not have an ejection seat was killed while trying to bail out.
