Singer-songwriter and musician Marvin Gaye born as Marvin Pentz Gay Jr. aka The Prince of Motown is shot in the heart and on his left shoulder by his 70-year old father Marvin Gaye Sr. at the age of 45 in 2101 South Gramercy Place, West Adams, Los Angeles, California, United States. The bullet penetrated Marvin's vital organs, including his heart.
