At 20.00hrs Goebbels arranged for SS dentist Helmut Kunz to inject his six children with morphine. When they were unconscious, Magda Goebbels and Ludwig Stumpfegger, Hitler's personal doctor who then crushed cyanide capsules in their mouths. Shortly afterwards Goebbels and his wife went up to the garden of the bunker where they killed themselves.

Baby farm murderess Amelia Elizabeth Dyer born as Hobley aka The Ogress of Reading is executed by hanging at the age of 59 in Newgate Prison, London, Greater London, United Kingdom. Dyer was tried and hanged for one murder but there is little doubt she was responsible for many more similar deaths - possibly 400 or more - over a period of perhaps 20 years.
