Mary Cortimiglia is beaten to death by serial killer The Axeman of New Orleans at the age of 2 in Corner of Jefferson Avenue and Second Street, Gretna, Louisiana, United States.

Mary's parents Charles and Rosie were also attacked and suffered skull fractures but survived.
