Murderer William Corder aka The Red Barn Murderer is executed by hanging by John Foxton at the age of 25 in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, United Kingdom. Corder's body was taken back to the courtroom at Shire Hall where it was slit open along the abdomen to expose the muscles, over 5,000 people queued to see it. Corder's skin was tanned by surgeon George Creed and used to bind an account of the murder. |
