54-year-old serial killer Bernard Pesquet aka Le Landru du Val d’Oise is arrested in Pierrelaye, Val d'Oise, France. Pesquet was charged with the murders of his lover Julien Quibel in 1941 – for which he spent 20 years in prison – his wife Christiane Ruaux and her presumed lover Hubert Franqui in 1974 – their decomposed bodies were found in his basement – and 73-year-old Emile Bergaud, his 71-year-old wife Elizia and their maid Alfia Borgioni in July 1976. |
