261 Nigerian pilgrims Die in Nigeria Airways Flight 2120 Douglas DC-8-61 crash in King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, Hejaz, Saudi Arabia. A flat tire during take-off resulted in over-heating and structural weakening of the No. 1 tyre. The inflight fire consumed the cabin floor and bodies fell from the melting aircraft that finally became uncontrollable and crashed.
