Double murderer Farley Charles Matchett is executed by lethal injection at the age of 44 in Huntsville Prison, 815 12th Street, Huntsville, Texas, United States. Matchett had a final meal request of four olives and a bottle of wild-berry flavored water. Actress Brigitte Bardot sent an open letter to Texas governor Rick Perry asking him to pardon Matchett before he was executed.
