Birth(+)Fact(x)Death(-) Calendar
Problems began when a fire started in a rear lavatory. Prior to the forced landing many of the passengers had already died of carbon monoxide poisoning and smoke inhalation. A possible cause of the fire was that the lavatory waste bin contents caught fire after a lit cigarette was thrown into it. There were 11 survivors.

 Futurist poet Vladimir Vladimirovich Mayakovsky commits suicide a shot through the heart at the age of 37 in Moscow, Central Federal District, Russia. An unfinished poem in Mayakovsky's suicide note read in part: "The love boat has crashed against the daily routine. You and I, we are quits, and there is no point in listing mutual pains, sorrows, and hurts." |
