Theodore Roosevelt aka Teddy is shot by would-be assassin John Schrank at the age of 54 in Hotel Gilpatrick, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States.

The bullet lodged in Roosevelt's chest after penetrating his steel eyeglass case and passing through a 50 pages single-folded copy of the speech titled "Progressive Cause Greater than any Individual" which he was carrying in his jacket.
