17-year-old playboy John Paul Getty is found in an abandoned petrol station after a 5-month kidnap in Lauria, Basilicata, Italy. A ransom of 2.2 Million Dollars —the maximum amount that was tax deductible— was paid by his grandfather Jean Paul and Getty’s ear had been cut off.
