Stevenson was dragged from her house, raped and lynched because her son was suspected of the arson of Gabe Frank’s barn. The gruesomely scene was witnessed by thousands and thousands of passengers who traveled in and out of the city the next morning. Stevenson's body was left hanging until Friday morning.

Artist Nicolas de Staël born as Nicolaï Vladimirovitch Staël von Holstein commits suicide by jumping from a building at the age of 41 in Rue du Revely, Antibes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France. Suffering from exhaustion, insomnia and depression, de Staël jumped from his studio terrace on the eleventh floor.
