37-year-old electrician George Metesky aka The Mad Bomber leaves his first bomb, a short length of brass pipe filled with gunpowder with an ignition mechanism made of sugar and flashlight batteries, on the window sill in Consolidated Edison Plant, West 64th Street, New York, New York, United States. Metesky's device was found before it could go off. It was wrapped in a note written in distinctive block letters and signed 'F.P.', stating "CON EDISON CROOKS – THIS IS FOR YOU." F.P. stood for 'Fair Play'. |
