Heiress, socialite, actress, and fashion model Edie Edith Minturn Sedgwick aka The Girl of the Year dies of acute barbiturate intoxication at the age of 28 in Santa Barbara, California, United States. The coroner ruled Sedgwick's death as 'undetermined/accident/suicide'.
