Woolf put on her overcoat, filled its pockets with stones, walked into the River Ouse near her home and drowned herself. Her body was not found until 18 April 1941. "I feel certain that I am going mad again: I feel we can't go through another of those terrible times. And I shan't recover this time. I begin to hear voices, and can't concentrate. Elizabeth Anne Porteous is raped and strangled by serial killer Wayne Boden aka The Vampire Rapist at the age of 33 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Porteous' breasts were mutilated with bite marks. A local orthodontist managed to demonstrate 29 points of similarity between the bite marks in Porteous' body and Boden's teeth.
