Musician Ian Kevin Curtis commits suicide by hanging at the age of 23 in 77 Barton Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire, United Kingdom. Curtis had just viewed Werner Herzog's film 'Stroszek' and listened to Iggy Pop's album 'The Idiot'.
