Possible victim of the Zodiac Killer Betty Elizabeth Marie Cloer is beaten, raped and shot dead by unidentified serial killer the Zodiac Killer at the age of 22 in Placerville, California, United States.

In 2003 DNA investigation pinned the murder to Philip Albert Thompson, already imprisoned for another murder. In 2008 64-year-old Thompson was convicted of first degree murder.
