26-year-old double murderer James Autry aka Cowboy shoots a 43 year old convenience store clerk Shirley Drouet between the eyes with a .38 caliber pistol causing her death in Port Arthur, Texas, United States. Autry had been arguing with her about the price of a six pack of beer. Two witnesses were also shot in the head. 43 year old Joe Broussard, a former Roman Catholic priest, who died instantly, and Anthanasios Svarnas, a Greek seaman who survived the gunshot with serious injuries.
