In August 1998 Basso was the ringleader of a gang who tortured and beat 59-year-old mentally retarded Louis 'Buddy' Musso to death with baseball bats for his life insurance money. Since Texas no longer served last meal requests on death row at the time, Basso ate regular prison fare of baked chicken, fish, boiled eggs, carrots, green beans, and sliced bread.

Anthony Joseph Crean is hacked to death by serial killer Patrick Mackay aka Franklin Bollvolt the First at the age of 64 in Shorne, Kent, United Kingdom.

Mackay on and off returned to the bathroom and the bloody tub with Crean's body, filling it with water and observing its color change and the bloods affect on the water.
