Founding member of the Weiße Rose resistant group Sophie Magdalena Scholl is executed by the Guillotine at the age of 22 in Justizvollzugsanstalt Stadelheim, Stadelheimer Straße 12, Giesing, München, Bayern, Germany. Scholl's brother Hans and their friend Christoph Probst were also executed, convicted of high treason after having been found distributing their sixth anti-Nazi political resistance leaflet at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München on 18 February 1943.
