Henry and Ed were burning away marsh vegetation on the property. The fire got out of control and Henry was found afterwards. It appeared that the cause of death was heart failure, but later it was reported that Henry had bruises on his head.

Johann Huber is shot dead by serial killer Peter Hößl aka Der Wochenendmörder at the age of 55 in München, Bayern, Germany.

Hößl was released from a youth prison on 13 February 1959 after serving two years for the murder of Franz Stöbich in 1956.
