Ruth Rita Mercado aka Angela Rojas is abducted, raped and garotted by serial killer Harvey Glatman aka The Pin-Up Killer at the age of 25 in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California, United States.

Mercado's body was found on 31 October.
