Baughn's execution was conducted inside of a canvass enclosure in front of the jail in Seneca. A rope was stretched on stakes about twenty feet from the enclosure and twenty guards armed with muskets and bayonets were stationed on the outside of the rope to keep back the crowd.

White Power punk rocker Ian Stuart Donaldson dies in hospital from injuries suffered in a car crash the day before at the age of 36 in Toyota Island, Walton-on-Trent, Derbyshire, United Kingdom. 23-year-old Skrewdriver band member Stephen Flint died on arrival. According to some sources Donaldson's car crash bore all the hallmarks of a Mossad operation. There was a nail in the rear tyre of his vehicle causing a slow leakage of air and the front shock absorber was also leaking.
