Lisenba killed his wife Mary Busch by sticking her leg in a box with two rattlesnakes. Busch didn't die from the poison so Lisenba drowned her. Lisenba was the last man to be executed by hanging in San Quentin. The rope was the wrong length and it took over ten minutes for Rattlesnake James to die.

Donna Marie Hensley is beaten and stabbed by serial killer Gerald Stano aka Blind Fury at the age of 26 in Tower Motel, 1116 Mason Avenue, Daytona, Florida, United States.

Hensley escaped, reported her assault and ID'd Gerald Stano as her assailant. Stano was brought in on 1 April to be questioned about the assault on Hensley to which his confesses along with the murder of Mary Carol Maher.
