48-year-old archaeologist and Egyptologist Howard Carter becomes the first man to enter into the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun in KV62, Valley of the Kings, Thebe, Egypt. Lord Carnarvon asked "Can you see anything?" Carter replied with the famous words "Yes, wonderful things!"
