Mistress of Benito Mussolini Clara Claretta Petacci is executed by Walter Audisio with a machine gun at the age of 33 in Villa Belmonte, Via XXIV Maggio, Giulino di Mezzegra, Lombardia, Italy. The next day the bodies of Mussolini, Petacci and others were hoisted up on to the metal girder framework of a half-built Standard Oil service station on Piazzale Loreto in Milano and hung upside down on meat hooks.
