Screenwriter, television producer and narrator Rod Rodman Edward Serling dies of a heart attack at the age of 51 in Strong Memorial Hospital, 125 Lattimore Rd, Rochester, New York, United States. Serling had a 10-hour-long open heart surgery carried out on 26 June 1975.
