On the location where the so-called ‘Strangler of the Left Bank’ committed a murder, I was hanging upside down between four trees. To my arms and legs I tied small hatchets and I pulled a plastic bag over my head. I hung there as long as I could. The performance was inspired by an ever recurring nightmare by the ‘Strangler’, with whom I kept an intense correspondence for several years.

Serial killer Nestor Pirotte aka Le Tueur Fou dies of a heart attack at the age of 67 in Prison de Jamioulx, Rue Vandamme 120, Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes, Hainaut, Belgium. Only one person attended Pirotte's funeral.
