 290 Die in Iran Air Airbus A300B2-203 Flight 655 missile attack in Strait of Hormuz, Hengam, Iran. The plane was shot by SM-2MR surface-to-air missiles from the USS-Vincennes when the crew mistakenly identified the Iranian Airbus as an attacking F-14 Tomcat fighter.
