Serial killer Herb Herbert Richard Baumeister aka The I-70 Strangler commits suicide by a shot in the head at the age of 49 in Pinery Provincial Park, Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada. In his suicide note Baumeister described his failing marriage and business as his reason for suicide. He did not confess to the murders of the eleven men whose remains were found in his backyard.
