Bayerischer Ministerpräsident Franz Josef Strauß dies of general organ failure at the age of 73 in Krankenhaus Barmherzige Brüder, Regensburg, Bayern, Germany. Strauss collapsed two days earlier while hunting in the Thurn und Taxis forests.
