There were a total of 21 penetrating shotgun wounds to Prudom's body which had 'insufficient velocity to enter the body cavity', a .22 bullet fired into the right side of his head which was consistent with a self-inflicted wound.

Murderer Patrick Herbert Mahon aka the Man of Prey is executed by hanging by Thomas Pierrepoint at the age of 34 in Wandsworth Prison, Wandsworth, London, Greater London, United Kingdom. Anecdotal accounts suggest that Mahon offered resistance on the scaffold by attempting to jump clear of the trap when the lever was pulled.
