Nuncio broke into 61-year-old Pauline Crownover Farris' home through the back door and beat her until she was unrecognizable, then raped her and strangled her to death. He then stole two television sets, a stereo, a VCR and some jewelry. He was arrested almost a week after the murder after selling one of the TV's.

Executioner Albert Gustaf Anders Dahlman dies of complications from an accident at the age of 72 in Stockholm, Södermanland, Sweden. After being run over by a tram Dahlman never regained health.
