McCollum had been listening to Ozzy Osbourne singing 'Suicide Solution' all day long. In a lawsuit McCollum’s parents claimed that there were hidden lyrics in the song that incited the teenager to kill himself. A California court dismissed the McCollums’ lawsuit in 1988, ruling that John’s suicide was not a foreseeable result of Osbourne’s song.

62-year-old labour union leader Jimmy Hoffa is abducted from a parking lot and never seen again in Machus Red Fox Restaurant, 6676 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Township, Detroit, Michigan, United States. Hoffa was declared legally dead in 1982, on the seventh anniversary of his disappearance when he would have been aged 69.
