Writer Karl Friedrich May dies of acute bronchitis at the age of 70 in Radebeul, Sachsen, Germany. Scientists examining the remains of May in 2014 found excessive quantities of lead and other heavy metals and concluded that his death was probably due to a long-time exposure to lead in water as well as tobacco.
