Leno was stabbed 26 times and the word "WAR" was carved into his abdomen. His 38-year-old wife Rosemary LaBianca was stabbed 41 times. The perpetrators were Charles Manson, Tex Watson, Leslie Van Houten and Patricia Krenwinkel. Krenwinkel wrote "Rise" and "Death to pigs" on the walls and "Healter Skelter" on the refrigerator door.

Viktor Wadim Tishchenko is stabbed to death by serial killer Andrei Chikatilo aka The Rostov Ripper at the age of 16 in Shakhty, Rostov Oblast, Russia.

Tishchenko fought hard for his life, biting and breaking Chikatilo's finger.
