The terrorists demanded a release of several imprisoned group members, including founder of Die Rote Armee Fraktion Horst Mahler and future RAF terrorists Verena Becker, Gabriele Kröcher-Tiedemann, Ingrid Siepmann, Rolf Heißler and Rolf Pohle. After the terrorists had been flown out to Aden, Lorenz was set free on 4 March. The kidnappers were Ralf Reinders, Ronald Fritzsch, Gerald Klöpper, Andreas Vogel and Till Meyer.

Kidnap victim Suzanne Wagner is abducted and held imprisoned by sex researcher Ulrich Kochwald in Regensburg, Bayern, Germany.

Wagner was locked up as a sex-slave for almost a year.
