Actor, film director and stunt performer Buster Joseph Frank Keaton aka The Great Stone Face is born in Piqua, Kansas, United States. Keaton acquired the nickname 'Buster' at about eighteen months of age when Harry Houdini saw the young Keaton take a tumble down a long flight of stairs without injury. After the infant sat up and shook off his experience Houdini remarked "That was a real buster!"
