SS-Obersturmbannführer Ernst Boje Ehlers aka der Endlöser von Belgien commits suicide by electrocution at the age of 71 in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Ehlers was supposed to go on trial for complicity in murder and his role in deporting thousands of Jews to Nazi death camps on 26 November.
