Amundsen's team included Norwegian pilot Leif Dietrichson, French pilot René Guilbaud, and three more Frenchmen. It is believed that the plane crashed in fog in the Barents Sea and that Amundsen and his crew were killed in the crash, or died shortly afterward.

Fifteenth bomb attack by Terrorist organisation Les Cellules Communistes Combattantes aka CCC in Direction Supérieure de la Logistique et des Finances de la Gendarmerie, Rue Père Eudore Devroye 245, Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Brussel, Brabant, Belgium. It was a revenge because the State Police failed to warn 2 firemen who got killed in the attack of 1 May 1985.
