Multiple murderer Robert McConaghy is executed by hanging at the age of 60 in State Correctional Institution, 1100 Pike Street, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, United States. The rope snapped and McConaghy fell on the floor. While a new rope was prepared McConaghy gave a chilling account of his methodical slaughter of his father-in-law’s wife and five children.
