On 26 July 1993 Massey viciously murdered two teenagers: 14-year-old Brian King and his 13-year-old stepsister Christina Benjamin. Benjamin's death had been particularly gruesome; her head, hands and nipples had been cut off, her genitals mutilated and her intestines removed.

Lissa Elissa Teresa Kastin is abducted and strangled by serial killers The Hillside Stranglers at the age of 22 in 703 East Colorado Street, Glendale, California, United States.

Kastin's nude body was left on a highway embankment near the Chevy Chase Country Club in Glendale.
