The dead were 22-year-old Karin Alkstål, 20-year-old Therese Danielsson, 21-year-old Helle Jürgensen, 29-year-old Lena Mårdner-Nilsson, 22-year-old Jenny Österman, 35-year-old Maths Bragstedt and 26-year-old Johan Tollsten. Six victims were members of the Women's Auxiliary Services.

Anna Mycek is strangled by serial killer Zdzisław Marchwicki aka The Zagłębie Vampire at the age of 58 in Dąbrówka Mała, Katowice, Województwo Katowice, Poland.

Mycek was Marchwicki's first victim.
