Her servants Ilona Nagy’s fingers were torn off with red hot pincers, Dorottya Szentes Szeoch and Janos Ficzko Ujvary were decapitated, drained of all their blood and thrown into the fire, while Báthory is sentenced to be walled in in her own castle.

Strongman and eccentric Antonio Barichievich aka The Great Antonio dies of a heart attack at the age of 78 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Barichievich carried "every scrap of paper that had been written about him over the years, news clippings from all over the world, in garbage bags." After his death, discovered among the clippings was a letter from the office of Bill Clinton and old photos of Barichievich with people including Pierre Trudeau, Liza Minnelli, Lee Majors, Sophia Loren and Johnny Carson.
