The cause of Sutcliffe's ruptured aneurysm resulting in cerebral paralysis due to bleeding into the right ventricle of the brain, is believed to have been started by an earlier head injury as he was either kicked in the head or thrown head first against a brick wall during a fight outside Lathom Hall, after a performance in January 1961.

Serial killer Martha Beck born as Martha Jule Seabrook aka The Lonely Hearts Killers (with Raymond Fernandez) is executed by Old Sparky at the age of 31 in Sing Sing Prison, Ossining, New York, United States. Beck's last words were "My story is a love story. But only those tortured by love can know what I mean [...] Imprisonment in the Death House has only strengthened my feeling for Raymond...."
